Direcciones y zonas de Bogotá (Addresses and zones)

 









Ubicar una dirección en Bogotá no es tan fácil, pero con un poco de ayuda se logra:

Calles, Diagonales y Avenidas: van de Este a Oeste y su número aumenta hacia el norte.

Carreras y Transversales: van de Sur a Norte y su número se incrementa hacia el occidente (alejándose de las montañas).

La mayoría de los visitantes en Bogotá se quedan en el centro y en la zona norte. La gran mayoría de las Universidades están hacia el centro.

Bogotá Central
Son cuatro zonas principales:

•La Candelaria – Zona Colonial que está al sur de la Calle 13 (conocida como Avenida Jiménez) entre Carreras 1 y 10. Tiene muchos estudiantes, bares y hostales.
•Centro de la Ciudad – Alrededores de la Carrera 7 y Calle 19 entre la Calle 13 y la Calle 26 se encuentra una zona que entre semana es muy activa
•El Centro Internacional – entre las Carreras 7 y 13 y Calles 26 y 30 se encuentra un complejo comercial de mucha tradición por ser arquitectura  del modernismo bogotano
•La Macarena (Zona M) – zona gastronómica de estilo bohemio ubicada hacia las montañas arriba de la Carrera 5, entre calles 26 y 30


​Bogotá Norte
Es la zona más moderna y hacia donde crece la ciudad. La zona norte de Bogotá es muy extensa y sus zonas principales son:

•Chapinero – entre la Carrera 7 y la Avenida Caracas (Carrera 14), desde la Calle 40 hasta la Calle 72. Es una zona comercial y residencial llena de bares y restaurantes.
•Zona G – Zona de alta gastronomía y vida nocturna ubicada al este de la Carrera 7 entre las calles 60 y 75
•Zona T – Zona de alta gastronomía y vida nocturna ubicada a los alrededores del Centro Comercial Andino entre carreras 12 y 13 en la Calle 82A y sus alrededores
•Parque 93 y alrededores – Zona de alta gastronomía alrededor de la cual se han ubicado las principales empresas nacionales y extranjeras. Entre carrera 11 y 13 y calles 90 y 94
•Usaquén y alrededores – al Este de la Carrera 7 entre calles 116 y 122 está ubicado el antiguo pueblo de Usaquén, que hoy esta integrado a la ciudad y que presenta un oasis de arquitectura colonial y restaurantes gourmet así como el Centro Comercial Hacienda Santa Bárbara a tan solo unos pasos de las Calles 116 y 127 que componen dos corredores empresariales y comerciales muy importantes de la ciudad.

​Understanding an address in Bogotá is not so easy but you  will do it with a little help:

Calle, Diagonal and Avenida: they go from East to West and their number increases towards the north.

Carrera and Transversal: go from South to North and their number increases towards the west (away from the mountains).
 
Most visitors to Bogotá stay in the center and in the north. The great majority of Universities are towards the center.
 

Bogotá Central (Centro)
There are four main areas:

• La Candelaria - Colonial Area which is south of Calle 13 (known as Avenida Jiménez) between Carrera 1 and 10. It has many students, bars and hostels.
• Centro: City Center - Around Carrera 7 and Calle 19 between Calle 13 and Calle 26, it is an area that is active during the week
• Centro Internacional: The International Center - between Carrera 7 and 13 and Calle 26 and 30, is a commercial complex with a lot of tradition, it is also a very important example of architectural modernism in Bogota.
• La Macarena (Zona M) - Bohemian style gastronomic area located up the mountains of Carrera 5, between Calle 26 and 30
 
Bogotá North (Norte)
It is the most modern area and where the city started developing. The north zone of Bogotá is very extensive and its main areas are:

• Chapinero - between Carrera 7 and Avenida Caracas (Carrera 14), from Calle 40 to Calle 72. It is a commercial and residential area full of restaurants and bars.
• Zona G: G Zone  – Gourmet gastronomy area located at the east of the Carrera 7 between Calle 60 and 75
• Zona T: T Zone - Area of restaurants, stores, pubs and nightclubs located around the Centro Andino (a shopping center), between Carrera 12 and 13 on Calle 82A and surroundings
• Parque 93 and surroundings - Restaurants and stores area where main national and foreign companies are located. Between Carrera 11 and 13 and Calle 90 and 94
•Usaquén and surroundings - at east of Carrera 7 between Calle 116 and 122, is located the old town of Usaquén, which today is integrated to the city as a neighborhood. It has many examples of colonial architecture and also gourmet restaurants as well as the Hacienda Santa Bárbara Shopping Center, which just a few steps from Calle 116 and 127 conforms two very important business and commercial corridors of the city.
